The Human Body... Co-op classes...

Our local homeschool group just started a co-op class on the Human Body. My part of this class is teaching lapbooking, but there is so much more to this class. Last week was week one of 11 total weeks that we will spend on this unit! The kid's traced the outline of their bodies that will contain their organs and other insides. They put together the base of their lapbook, they watched a few short (2-5 minutes long) video's on the skin and hair since that was the topic of the day, they learned some vocabulary words, and a few other activities :-)

I will try to keep updates on our weekly happenings with co-op. This is a weekly class. We are also joining the IL homeschool support group for their "spring" classes in just a couple weeks!!! The kiddo's are thrilled as we joined them last week for a gym time which for us was a time to get re-aquanted!! We were with them for several years before moving here. We have been here for 4 years and so although many faces have changed due to growth (well only the children), their personalities were so real and unchanging!! So we will have LOTS to post about in the coming months!

Learning is such fun!!
