Field Trip to the Button Factory...

This week thanks to a wonderful homeschool mom, we attended a field trip to the Muscatine Button Factory... now museum. We were told how they made the pearl buttons from start (getting the clams out of the river) to the finish (placing the buttons on the little cards to be sold). This was a very infomative field trip for all the children and us adults :-) The children were all given a worksheet to find and fill in the information as they learned. There were lots of hands-on activities as the children went through the different areas.
